TRIP DAY 8

On the eighth day of our exciting journey, we woke up early around 07:00 to enjoy a hearty breakfast, at the campsite. At 08:00, we departed without delay for the majestic Westfjords, eager to explore new landscapes.
During the journey to the fjords, which lasted about an hour and a half, we marveled at the breathtaking landscapes that unfolded before our eyes. At 10:00, we arrived at Arnarfjörður Fjord (first photo of the blog) and headed towards Hrafn seyri, the birthplace of Icelandic national hero, Jón Sigurðsson. There, we visited the museum dedicated to his life and legacy.
After the cultural visit, around 12:30, we enjoyed lunch at a scenic spot that we found during our morning exploration. We continued our journey into the Westfjords at 13:30, stopping at scenic viewpoints to take in the views and capture some memorable photographs.
At 15:00, we finally arrived at the dazzling Dynjandi waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls inIceland. We walked the trails that led us to different levels of the waterfall, marveling at the natural environment around us.

With the day progressing, we continued our journey to a nearby camping area in the Westfjords, arriving around 17:00. After settling in, we prepared dinner in the caravan at 19:00, while enjoying the serenity of the fjords.
With the sun going down, we had free time to relax and enjoy the evening, even considering taking a short hike around the camping area to take in the views. At 22:00, we reflected on the day's experiences and appreciated the unparalleled natural beauty of the Westfjords. Then, we retired to rest around 23:00, ready to recharge for the adventures that awaited us the next day.
